Not at all. Whether you've never written a song or have years of experience, we'll meet you where you are.
Do I have to sing or play an instrument?
No! This experience is designed for storytellers just as much as musicians.
Can I do this virtually?
Yes! We work with students both virtually and in person.
How long does the Song Lab Experience 5 session program take?
Most students complete the experience over 5–8 weeks, depending on scheduling.
Who owns the rights to the song we create?
Who owns the rights to the song we create?
You retain 80% ownership of your song, while Denver Song Lab retains 20% ownership, shared among the coach(es) who helped develop the work. Our goal is to support and guide your creative process while helping bring your vision to life. You remain the primary songwriter and owner of the song, with full freedom to perform, record, release, and promote your music. Upon completion of the program, we'll provide clear instructions on how to properly credit all contributors when registering or releasing your song through distributors, publishing organizations, or performing rights organizations such as ASCAP or BMI.
